Morphology is one of parts in linguistics that be related to word, internal structure and a half of the meaning. Morphology also research about how the user of language understand complex words and find the new lexical item. The two basic functions of morphological operations are (i) the creation of new words (i.e. new lexemes), and (ii) spelling out the appropriate form of a lexeme in a particular syntactic context

There are 2 kinds of morphology according expert namely derivational morphology and inflexional morphology. The first one research about connection some different words and how study about where vocabulary can be create from some element like un-speak-able

While inflexional morphology research about types from one word yang diperlukan tergantung on the function of the grammatical in one sentence. Ehen we speak English so derivational morphem lebih terlihat than inflexional morphem.

Morphem in morphology is smallest unit that have meaning and memenuhi fungsi grammatical. . Kata house terdiri dari satu morfem, dan karena berdiri sendiri maka bisa disebut morfem bebas. Pada kata houses ada dua morfem yaitu house, yang merupakan morfem bebas, dan s yang merupakan morfem terikat, karena tidak dapat berdiri sendiri, jika berdiri sendiri tidak memiliki makna. Pada contoh ke-dua diatas morfem terikat s melekat pada house – sebuah morfem bebas, yang dalam hal ini juga bisa disebut sebagai batang (stem). Batang adalah tempat dimana morfem terikat terpasang.

There are to types  of free morphem that is lexical mophem and inflexional morphem. Lexical morphem is words that have meaning such as adverb, adjective, and noun like print, house, pretty, fire, go, girl. Karena tidak ada masalah dengan penambahan entitas baru ke dalam kelompok kata ini maka disebut sebagai kelas kata terbuka. Disisi lain, morfem fungsional adalah kelas kata tertutup, seperti artikel (the/a/an), preposisi, pronoun yang tidak membawa makna jika berdiri sendiri, tetapi hanya memenuhi fungsi grammatical.
